Ruby Neilam Salvador "Neile" Adams

Ruby Neilam Salvador "Neile" Adams was born in July 10, 1932, a Filipino-American actress, singer and dancer who made more than twenty appearances in films and television series between 1952 and 1991.

She was born in Manila, in the Philippines. Her mother, Carmen Salvador, was of German, Spanish, and mestizo descent, and her father was of English, Chinese, and Filipino ancestry. Her mother, a dancer, was the sister of basketball player and actor Lou Salvador, Sr. She was first married (1957–1972) to actor Steve McQueen, who insisted that she not work. Adams' influence with agents helped McQueen establish his own career.

In 1960, she co-starred with McQueen and Peter Lorre in a memorable episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents based on Roald Dahl's short story Man from the South. In 2010, Adams has appeared in her own eponymous one woman cabaret show.

Adams' son is actor Chad McQueen, and her grandson is actor Steven R. McQueen. (Source: Wikipedia)
